In a world full of Flowers, be a Parsnip.

Hey Hey Beautiful Souls!

As we continue our journey along the wheel of the year, watching the sun set upon the autumn trees, the cooler nights that leave icicles on windows remind us that winter is nearing quickly. Most of us gather up blankets, light fires and sip on warm mugs to bring our bodies into balance from the chill around us. And as these months naturally trigger plethora of biological signals to our bodies, we slow down. To rest. To reflect. To introspect. To step away from the hustle and bustle of previous seasons in order to root deeper within ourselves.

How deep do you anchor?

How rooted are you?

Have you ever thought about what that means?

Our nervous systems resemble trees. And just like the Tree of Life, we have access to Divine Water that flows into our root system, nourishing us so we can flourish… from root to fruit. When we are grounded and anchored, we have a strong foundation within ourselves, a knowing who we are, what we’re capable of, what we want and where we are going, so we grow and ascend to the edges of our encoded potential. The identity is strong. The purpose is driven by intention. We rely on the strength of God as the Spirit of Life flows in and through us. And the KNOWING, this mental framework, creates a solid foundation for us to build our lives on so when the inevitable trials happen, we will not crumble but lean upon resilience to move through each hurdle. This tempers the nervous system, allowing our capacity to expand, dealing with all that will test us, empowering us to act on that which we can control and surrendering to what we cannot.

And as some crops seem to flourish in the warmer months, reaping a harvest in the autumn, let’s not forget about PARSNIPS. They grow in the winter months as well, a hardy root that thrives when all else is just trying to survive. Life is hard. But when you don’t have the right perspective, it’s even harder. Knowing how to see the world and hardships and pain and all the sh*t that life can throw at you can literally become a lifeline… a parsnip, if you will. So in a world full of flowers, be the root that anchors deeply into self, as a bridge between Heaven and Earth.

If this season is already challenging you with loss, trauma, separation, grief or estrangement, you’re not alone. I am holding a FREE Ceremonial Workshop on Monday, November 24th at 7pm to help you work through your feelings. Yes, it’s ok to NOT want to celebrate the holidays or feel “in the mood” while your grieving. There are no rules when it comes to healing. Only time and space to allow the energy to move and flow. HEALING FOR THE HOLIDAYS is for anyone who is just not feeling it this year and would like the space to feel what they feel, be seen and heart and held, so you can move through the pain to find peace. Register here for the Zoom link.

I really hope to see your beautiful face and if it’s not God’s will that our paths should align, I pray for the moment it will.

Love + Blessings,

Shayla D. ❤
